Maximillian Lisembee brings extensive expertise to the field of child welfare, excelling in both micro- and macro-level roles. Currently serving as a Lean Improvement Facilitator at the Indiana Department of Child Services (IN DCS) since 2016, Maximillian specializes in Lean Six Sigma, project facilitation, and change management. His impactful contributions drive continuous improvement initiatives within the agency.
With a solid foundation as a Family Case Manager, Maximilian possesses a wealth of experience collaborating with families to achieve permanency. Holding a degree in Psychology from Western Kentucky University (2015) and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (2021), Maximillian blends academic knowledge with practical expertise.
In 2019, he was selected as a fellow for the 2020 cohort of the AdoptUSKids Minority Professional Leadership Development program, spearheading the foster parent recruitment and retention initiative “Each One, Reach One, Keep One.” Maximillian continued his dedication to youth work as a New Professional Fellow with the Journey Fellowship in 2022, focused on nurturing youth work leaders in Indiana.
As an Ujima Leader through the National Adoption Association’s Black Family Connection program, Maximillian continues his work in continuous quality improvement, ensuring agency implementation teams are rooted in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Maximillian is a proud board member for Families Rising. Actively contributing to the Illinois CQI Community Group, he underscores his commitment to continuous quality improvement in the field. Maximillian’s passion for DEI, stakeholder engagement, leadership, and human development shines through his career in child welfare.
