Gary Taylor Global Consulting

Executive Coaching

Leadership

With an extensive career in leadership, Gary Taylor Consulting offers rare insight into the adaptive and daily challenges faced by child welfare executive leaders as they are required to adjust in a fast paced, ever changing, and often crisis-driven profession. Gary also brings personal awareness of the leadership skills required and the support needed to aid leaders as they set a vision and guide their organizations through addressing daily challenges and meeting the needs of children and their families. Gary has knowledge of meeting federal and state
mandates, both funded and unfunded, which place responsibility on child welfare leaders to make client safety a priority. This is not at the exclusion of helping children achieve permanency and well-being, and their parents becoming self-sufficient. Gary also brings a unique perspective to coaching, having worked various levels of social work,  and advancing from practitioner to eventually the role of Child Welfare Director. Gary Taylor Consulting serves in areas of diverse demographics to include rural, suburban, and metropolitan areas.

Whether you have years of managerial experience, transitioning to a new position or presently establishing yourself as a leader, I can help you to identify, accomplish, and sustain the gains made toward your goals. Gary especially enjoys helping newly appointed leaders move from addressing technical issues to using all the skills of an adaptive leader.

On a personal level, I particularly enjoy helping leaders gain clarity about their values so they can prioritize decisions in alignment with their organizations mission or their personal vision and goal attainment. That work forms the foundation for whatever strategic work follows, whether prioritizing budget decisions, addressing staffing disparities, workforce development or crafting new policy. As a certified DISC practitioner, Gary brings insight into the kinds of communication issues that often challenge leaders and their teams.
